The advantages and disadvantages of the use of carpet in flooring
The use of carpet in the installation of the floor at the moment has become quite well widespread. But not all owners still represent what kind of features this material has. Moreover, it is quite difficult for them to independently evaluate what negative features the carpet has.
Structurally this material can be made in the form of a tile or roll. It has a dense background of vinyl or other flexible material. The upper layer is a pile of artificial or natural fabric. The carpet is glued to the floor, as a result of which it holds very hard.
The most significant advantages of carpet are high heat – and sound insulation, a large number of execution options. It is also necessary to admit that transporting and laying this material is quite simple. Due to additional processing, the material becomes immune to fire and microorganisms.
The negative features of the material come down to the fact that it cannot be affected by moisture and chemical detergents. If carpet with natural pile is used, there is a danger that it will quickly burn out in the sun. When laying, sometimes problems arise if the room has a non -standard shape.
