Features of the data transmission process by a twisted pair
Data transmission systems since the “ancient” times (in our case, about several tens of years ago) used copper isolated conductors. Roiled pairs, as a rule, were made from two twisted conductors twisted among themselves (TR – Twisted Pair Cable).
Symmetric or differential (balance) transmission method is still widely used. Two are usually used – this is a twisted pair using isolated conductors (sometimes four are used). Twisting of conductors allows not only to reduce the inductance and the container between the conductors, as well as reduce the tip.
In addition, for additional protection against interference, individual twisted pairs are often also placed in a foil screen. This communication method (using “Balanced Cable”) is called a balanced. Modern technologies will allow you to bring the signal bandwidth strip to six hundred Meghartz, today the standards have been worked out on the stomhegarts data transmission channel. Of course, the thickness of the cable depends on the number of steam. The most popular twisted pair is the UTP 4 and 5E category. Strictly speaking, there are seven categories (from the first to the sixth). But the sixth category is still being finalized and the development of the seventh is already beginning. For example, the “fifth category” limits the speed of one hundred meterse (as we said above). You probably heard about the fifth category (one of the most speedy) – 100Base -TX (Fast Ethernet). Moreover, there is still just twisted pair-a cross-cutting wire for communication cabinets and racks (Cross-Wires). Such a wire can also consist of one to four twisted steam.
