Wooden floor varnishing: technology and stages
New floors will serve for a long time if the entire varnishing process is fully observed. The first stage is the primer of the floor. Primer is made in three layers. After each layer of primer, the floor is grinded, when grinding, the rising fibers and the board becomes smooth. Grinding should start on a completely dried layer of primer. Before applying the floor, the floor surface should be clean, without dust and garbage. Moher, steel or flote spatulas are used for varnishing. Their advantage is that they do not give stripes and the varnish is distributed in an even layer. With the help of such spatulas, you can varnish a fairly large area in a short time.
Lacing not only gives shine and pleasant appearance to the wooden floor, it increases its service life. For additional strength, it is better to apply another, two additional layers. To give a floor of a certain color, it can be covered with tinting. This process must be performed before applying varnish. Before tinting the entire floor, it is advisable to paint a small area, in order to confident that the shade is chosen correctly. Shade reinforcement can be achieved by repeated tinting. After tinting, it is advisable to open the floor with colorless varnish.
