Pillars for the fence: materials and technical features
Pillars of asbestos -cement pipes
Unlike wooden, pillars made of asbestos -cement pipes have greater strength. In addition, they are resistant to harmful effects of high humidity and do not rot. However, there are two significant drawbacks. Firstly, difficulties often arise in fastening the pillars to the fences, and secondly, they can be filled with water and burst in the cold. For this, asbestos -cement pillars must be hermetically closed.
Metal pillars
Pillars made of metal pipes are the most popular, because they are very strong and reliable. With the help of welding to them, you can weld any structural elements. Even having gained water, such pillars do not burst, but they can only get minor cracks.
