How to build a strong and durable veranda yourself
If the walls of our veranda are made of a beam of 150×150 or 100×100, and if it adjoins the brick wall, it is necessary to put moisture insulation in the joint to exclude moisture from a brick wall into a wooden beam. It can be both roofing material and mastic or bitumen, but I recommended to use building foam, it will play the role of waterproofing material, thermal insulation and of course will enhance the adhesion of our two walls. If you fulfill these rules, then in our veranda it will stay warm even in winter for a long time.
In the event that the walls of the veranda are brick or laid out of aerated concrete blocks, then you need to build them in the same way as the walls of the house were built or a little thinner. Walls with a thickness of 10-20 cm will be quite enough.
The wall of the main house and the construction of the veranda must be strictly interconnected, it can be some corners, studs or anchor. Usually if the main wall of the house is brick or Kamenaya, a deep hole is drilled in it and is attached with reliable anchors. If the wall is wooden, then it will not be difficult to fix our walls using long screws.
