Features of the choice of materials for the construction of buildings in the coastal zone
In recent years, more and more objects have been built in the coastal and coastal zones. This is the construction of sports facilities on the eve of the Winter Olympiad in 2014, the construction of berths, tourist bases, hotels, other infrastructure facilities. As a rule, investments in such construction pay off very quickly and begin to make profit, but only on condition of the use of modern building technologies and materials. The cornerstone of coastal construction is the choice of materials for load -bearing and enclosing structures. In the coastal and coastal zones, objects are influenced by an external aggressive environment that can significantly affect their operation.
This primarily applies to the high level of infrared solar radiation, the smallest suspension of sea salt in the air, high humidity, the erosion effect of small sand fractions, which raises the wind on the beach. Such negative effects throughout the entire service life requires the use of materials that are highly wear -resistant and have good protection from all types of aggressive effects of the external environment. This applies to all types of buildings, regardless of the material that was used for their construction – metal, brick or concrete.
