Rules and tips for the installation of drywall partitions
The basis of drywall partitions is a frame made of a metal profile or wooden beam mounted on the supporting structures of the room. It consists of two strands: the upper and lower, and between them are vertical rack profiles. On top of the frame, the partitions are sheathed with GKL sheets. In order to improve the thermal and sound insulation, the frame is installed on a polyurethane tape, and the space between the sheets is filled with sound -absorbing materials using mineral wool or polystyrene foam. The bearing capacity of the frame should be taken into account to calculate the size of the cargo, which is subsequently established. The thickness of the racks and the distance between them depends on this.
To give the design of the strength, the partition can be strengthened by the laying inside the transverse wooden beam or plywood, in addition, the cladding can be performed in two layers. Drywall allows you to come to life of any design idea and be realized by any configuration of the partition, which can include columns, niches, arches. Another advantage will be that in the plasterboard partition you can easily hide the electric wires, which will help when installing additional lighting. Gypsum cardboard is the basis of the final finish: painting, gluing wallpaper, decorative plaster, decorative stone, tiles or facing panels. This material, to everything, does not need to be plastered.
