Features and criteria for choosing fire doors
The second type includes fire -fighting doors, in which the fire resistance limit is only about 30 minutes. They can be called lightweight structures in comparison with the first type. However, it is they who are most often installed in residential premises. The time they give is enough for people to leave the building, and firefighters began to extinguish fire. By the way, usually such doors are installed in the walls, the fire resistance limit of which is about 45 minutes.
This will seriously delay the spread of fire. The fiery doors of the third type differ in the least resistance to fire. They provide no more than 15 minutes, and install them in partitions with about the same fire resistance limit. An important point – for each type, time is indicated without loss of thermal insulating ability, integrity and bearing capacity.
Such doors can be both single -winged and double -winged, as well as gateways. This is a very important point, since, as a rule, the choice of a particular type of door is not due to personal preferences, but by building rules and standards, as well as safety requirements. This means that an arbitrary interpretation is impossible here.
