The purpose and need for priming before gluing wallpaper
Before gluing wallpaper, a primer is an inevitable step in this. The primer helps tightly hold the wallpaper on the wall and the very appearance of your robot becomes even, more beautiful and, as a result, more aesthetic. In addition, she will protect the walls from mold. After such a procedure, a really high -quality result is obtained.
Before starting the priming of the walls, it is necessary to clean their surface thoroughly, if necessary, remove the old paint or a layer of dust and cover the cracks in the plaster. After such procedures, you can safely apply a primer to the area you need. If earlier the role of primer played glue, now there are different types of ground mixtures for different types of surface.
Ground compositions are divided into groups by type of substances connecting in them and by whether they can be used indoors. So, there are such types: acrylic primer – it is used on almost all surfaces and alkyd primer – best for wooden surfaces. In turn, the alkyd primer has several subspecies. Glyftal primers are also used for wood, but, in addition, for metal.
It is important that the room should be with a low moisture level for this type of primer. And finally, perchlorvinyl primers are used for metal, concrete, brick and surfaces with plaster.
