Materials used for finishing work in the kitchen
The finish of surfaces in any room should create primarily a cozy atmosphere, but for the materials used to finish the kitchen, additional qualities are required. This is due to the fact that the kitchen is characterized by increased humidity, the risk of pollution of surfaces, including due to settling microparticles. Therefore, when designing a kitchen, preference should be given practical, easy to care and environmentally friendly materials.
A variety of washing wallpaper and wall panels are considered traditional material for the finish of the kitchen. Plasterboard panels are widespread, which are finished with decorative plaster. Many options for the decoration of kitchen walls give metal and glass, the surface of the walls decorated with such materials can be not only smooth, but also textured (a variety of waves, convex or concave forms). Glass can be matte or decorated.
The common finishing material for kitchen walls is artificial stone, ceramic tiles and MDF panels. These materials are highly resistant to moisture, strength and ease of care. The relatively high cost of this decoration option can be slightly reduced due to design solutions, for example, the lower part of the wall is finished with stone, and the upper is glued with detergents.
